Stubeck (2370m)
Over various interesting altitude levels, the tour goes up in three vegetation stages. At the border of the closed spruce forest begins the subalpine stage. Characteristic of this are pines, larch forest and dwarf shrub belt. A particularly striking boundary line is formed by the forest and tree line. This is where the alpine stage begins with its closed lawn and its various upholstery stages. Above about 2300m no tree can grow anymore. The growth form comes here within a few meters of altitude, to its distribution limit. A magnificent panorama offers the view over the Nock mountains (biosphere reserve), the Julian (Triglav) and the Hochalmspitze (national park area).

Elendrundgang Maltatal (2676m)
The Elendrundgang is truly a breathtaking and promising mountain tour, because the two Elendtäler are a very special high alpine pasture of the first class. Characterized by glacier forefields, shaped valleys, alluvial and debris flows, alpine grass and shrub heaths, countless moors and high lakes, as well as alpine and mountain meadows and stone walls shaped by humans. There are various protection regulations of the national park. They are divided into core zone, outer zone and special protection. In the entire Alpine region and Central Europe, the Hohe Tauern National Park is the largest national park and comprises 1856 square kilometres of untouched alpine primeval landscape, as well as extensively used, traditional and rich cultural landscape.
Our tour leads into the valley along the reservoir to the confluence of the Kleinelendtal. Here you turn right before the Kleinelendbrücke. At the Mitterboden you walk past countless moors, which were created by the silting up of a lake. You cross a wooden bridge and now enjoy the view of the Kleinelendkees. On lateral moraines the ascent goes up. Past block debris and stony slopes, it goes up to the Zwischenelendscharte. Arrived at the highest point of the hike at 2676m, you can see the wildly romantic Upper Schwarzhornsee and on the opposite side of the mountain our Hochalmspitze reveals itself. Then you prepare again for the descent, direction Osnabrücker Hütte. Arriving at the fall floor comes the most difficult part of the hike. From here you can already catch a glimpse of our refreshment stop. Well strengthened, our hike leads us back to the starting point via an alpine path along the reservoir.

Faschaunereck (2614m)
The route leads over a forest road first up through an ancient larch forest, past alpine meadows, mountain mowers and small huts. Now the path begins to climb slightly. At the Halterhütte, which is located on the left side of the Almboden, you turn left up over the Fauschaunerleitn. The marked path becomes relatively steep in the upper part and leads up to an altitude of 2480m, where the ridge is located. From here, the hike leads up a narrow path along the ridge to the finish. The tour is rewarded with a magnificent view. With a little luck you can catch a glimpse of various high alpine animals (including eagles, chamois, snow grouse unvm.).
